The Qatar Computing Research Institute (QCRI) held its Summer Internship Program for undergraduate and graduate students, offering hands-on research experience with researchers and professors and access to state-of-the-art research facilities.

An eight-week program provided a platform for students to explore research across several fields, including Arabic Language Technologies, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, Social Computing, and Software Engineering. Participants were divided into two cohorts with alternating schedules to ensure dedicated mentorship and active engagement.

In line with its mission to expand and diversify global academic engagement and partnerships, Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) and Russia’s National Research University Higher School of Economics (HSE) have laid the foundations for a new long-term collaboration.

Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU), a member of Qatar Foundation (QF), presented cutting-edge technologies originated from its homegrown research and entrepreneurial ecosystem to international investors, policymakers, and other participants at Web Summit Lisbon 2025.

Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) participated proudly at the 12th edition of the World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE), continuing its long-standing, integral role as a partner of the conference.

This year’s event took place under the theme ‘Humanity.io: Human Values at the Heart of Education.’ This message was directly in tune with HBKU’s priorities of advancing human-centered innovation, ethics, interdisciplinary collaboration, and conversations that shape the future of education, globally, and particularly in the Global South.

In Qatar, it represents the highest prevalence in the overall population, accounting for 38.8% of cases in women in 2022. It is also the fourth leading cause of cancer-related deaths in Qatar.
