HBKU's Executive Education Center (EEC) is the university’s executive education wing responsible for creating impactful learning journeys for executive participants in both the public and private sectors in Qatar, the Gulf region, and further afield.
The EEC leverages HBKU’s tremendous faculty and professional body to design class leading programs for stakeholder organizations and deploys solutions in collaboration with its partners within Qatar Foundation’s Education City ecosystem, as well as other internationally renowned institutions.
Our programs are characterized by a focus on capability enhancements that create immediate impact on the operational effectiveness of our stakeholders and their organizations. This is achieved through our ability to develop a thorough understanding of our target audiences’ requirements and the context in which they operate, leading to bespoke solutions that are an ideal fit for their strategic objectives.
Mohamed Abuelgasim joined HBKU after a 15-year career in consulting and business operations across three continents, his track record in executive education programme development includes stints working closely with government, public, and private sector organizations around the world. As an Advisor at the Institute of Capability Development in the Diwan of Royal Court in Oman, and subsequently as a Senior Advisor for the Royal Academy of Management in Oman, he oversaw the creation of comprehensive executive education programs, ensuring their design and delivery supported the Omani government’s strategic human development goals in line with the Oman Vision 2040.
Prior to this, he served as a senior member of the core team that launched HEC Paris in Qatar in 2010, playing an integral role in shaping their Executive MBA, Specialized Masters, and both custom and open executive education programmes in collaboration with Qatar Foundation. He also acted as Business Development Director at Henley Business School, UK, and conducted executive education courses with various prestigious institutions including University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School, IMD Business School (Switzerland), the Civil Service College Singapore, and more.
Maryam Al-Khalaf is the programs development manager at the Executive Education Center (EEC) of Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU). She has five years of experience in educational research, gained from her previous role at the World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE), an initiative of Qatar Foundation. At WISE, she specialized in educational leadership, higher education, entrepreneurship education, well-being and learning sciences, and social and emotional learning.
Before joining WISE, Al-Khalaf worked in the corporate sector with Qatar Airways, where she managed special projects, new business initiatives, and bilateral agreements with global corporations. She holds a bachelor’s degree from King’s College London and a master’s degree from HEC Paris.
Zubydeh Alhadithi serves as the Program Coordinator at the Executive Education Center (EEC) at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU). She holds a Bachelor's degree in Media and Communications from Northwestern University in Qatar. Ms. Alhadithi has experience in designing and delivering digital content and has contributed to the successful coordination of multiple events across the Education City ecosystem.
Roshna Michael has joined the Executive Education Center (EEC) at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) as a Consultant. Ms. Michael holds a Bachelor's degree from SIES College, India, and a Postgraduate qualification in Project Management from Conestoga College, Canada. Roshna Michael brings over 13 years of professional experience spanning the banking and education sectors. Before her appointment at EEC, Ms. Michael was a Project Analyst with HBKU’s University Technology Services, responsible for project analysis, procurement, finance, and administrative operations. Her earlier career includes extensive experience in the banking sector, with a focus on document control management and operational processes.
