We offer confidential one-on-one counseling sessions, as well as group sessions for open discussion and sharing of experiences in a calm and supportive environment. Appointments are easy to schedule and can usually be booked within one week, or within 24 hours in urgent cases. Comprehensive Psychiatric Clinic
We provide professional psychiatric care under the guidance of Dr. Rudwan Abdul-Al, Senior Consultant in Psychiatry. Offering evidence-based diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up for a wide range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, eating disorders, ADHD, and other mental health concerns. The service emphasizes that mental health is just as important as physical health and provides students with professional support based on the latest evidence-based practices.
Anta Bikhair - أَنتَ بِخَير
Anta Bikhair is HBKU’s confidential mental health screening tool. It allows students to begin their wellness journey privately through simple and anonymous self-assessment tools. No name, login, or email is required.
In just a few minutes, students can gain an overview of their mental health and receive clear, personalized recommendations for their next steps.
Peer Support Networks
The Center provides peer support forums led by trained student community development advisors in campus housing. These interactive sessions are held throughout the academic year and offer students a safe space to share experiences, raise awareness, and support a campus culture where mental well-being is a shared priority.
Health and Wellbeing Enhancement Programs
We host workshops, events, and awareness campaigns designed to provide students with practical tools to support their well-being and help them thrive academically and personally. These programs focus on managing stress, improving sleep, nurturing healthy eating habits, building resilience, and supporting academic and personal well-being.
Digital Mental Health Library
The Digital Mental Health Library provides students with a quiet space to explore knowledge related to mental well-being, personal growth, reflection, and skill development. The library includes carefully curated resources such as books, lectures, and articles.
