Alumni Achievements

Wadha Salem Alathba

College of Islamic Studies (CIS) , Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU)
Major: Public Policy in Islam (2015)

Wadha Salem Alathba, a CIS graduate from the Class of 2015, continued her education by becoming a certified trainer and life coach in Qatar. Currently, she works as a Community Outreach Specialist at Qatar Free Zones Authority, while also inspiring HBKU students and alumni as a motivational trainer.

Vahid Suljic

College of Islamic Studies (CIS) , Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU)
Major: Public Policy in Islam (2017)

Vahid Suljic, a CIS graduate from the Class of 2017, has been actively engaged in community activities both locally and internationally. He presented his research on human trafficking to United Nations member states at the Doha Youth Forum and has also been a project manager and coordinator for a three year-long study funded by the Qatar National Research Fund (QNRF). Along with being involved in several extracurricular activities during his time at HBKU, he also participated in several volunteering initiatives and youth work, such as with Qatar Charity, Reach Out to Asia (ROTA), and Qatar Foundation, and was a speaker at the Annual Youth Education and Empowerment Summit in 2018.

HBKU Alumni Association

HBKU’s Alumni Association provides a strategic platform to strengthen interactions by fostering programs that are of interest and support the strategic objectives of the university.

The Association Board is elected every two years via a voting and nomination system.

All alumni can nominate themselves and can vote for a nominee.

Will I still be invited to participate in Student Engagement Office and Student Affairs activities after I graduate from HBKU?

Yes, we continue to host events and programs that are open to alumni. Upcoming events and programs will be announced through the HBKU Alumni Office website.

I am a certified trainer? Can I train current students at HBKU?
