The College of Science and Engineering (CSE) at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) recently conducted outreach activities to attract new students to its degree programs. In keeping with the wider HBKU family, the CSE’s admissions campaign provided information and study options for prospective candidates at home and abroad. Students in attendance were able to benefit from the expertise of CSE’s faculty and learn about new programs as well as research projects through lab demos and tours.

Biswas, an Assistant Professor in the College of Health and Life Sciences (CHLS) at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU), has been recognized for his research in the field of cell-to-cell adhesion with an invited article published in the Trends in Biochemical Sciences journal. Cell-cell adhesion is a fundamental feature of multicellular organisms crucial for a variety of processes including development of different organs in humans and spreading of cancer to different parts of the body (metastasis).

The College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHSS) at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU), part of Qatar Foundation, recently concluded its information session to showcase its degree programs and study options. In keeping with the wider HBKU network, CHSS’ admissions campaign was designed to attract local talent, encourage international candidates and provide key information for prospective students. Attendees had an opportunity to meet with faculty to learn more about the programs delivered by CHSS and the admission requirements.
