A faculty member at Hamad Bin Khalifa University’s College of Health and Life Sciences (CHLS) recently took part in a global clinical collaboration to study a life-threatening blood cholesterol disease, homozygous familial hypercholesterolaemia (HoFH). The study has now been published in The Lancet - one of the highest impact medical journals globally.

“Football Diplomacy for Sustainable Development in the World” was the theme of Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU)’s first International Qatar Model Organization of Islamic Cooperation (MOIC) 2022 for university students, a collaborative event with the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF). 

MOIC is an ICYF initiative that immerses participants in diplomacy and negotiation by creating an academic simulation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation - the second largest intergovernmental organization after the United Nations with 57 member states.

The College of Islamic Studies (CIS) at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) hosted a group of judges from the National School for the Judiciary in France on February 13 and 14, for a training course on “Law in Shari’a and Islam”. HBKU’s CIS is one of several Qatari institutions and universities taking part in the judicial training program organized by the Office of the Attorney General, Qatar Public Prosecution, in cooperation with the Embassy of France in Qatar.
