The online workshop was led by Daniela Bedmar San Juan, the Spanish Language Coordinator at TII.

The Language Center, part of the Translation and Interpreting Institute (TII) at the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, recently presented a Spanish film screening. The event gave students an immersive experience of the language’s cultural aspects.

The online workshop was led by Daniela Bedmar San Juan, the Spanish Language Coordinator at TII. It was an opportunity for language learners of all ages to gain conversational practice, strengthen their Spanish proficiency, and gain confidence in speaking the language. A selection of short Spanish-language films was followed by a discussion on Hispanic culture and identity.

The film screening is one of a series of events celebrating 10 years of TII under the theme “Words Connecting Worlds”. The Spanish language program forms part of TII’s commitment to promoting the Spanish language through language learning as well as cultural activities.
