A team of scientists from Qatar Computing Research Institute (QCRI) at Hamad Bin Khalifa University have received recognition for their contribution to a media-telecom catalyst project on AI indexing for regulatory compliance that uses artificial intelligence to identify, index, and measure political balance. The Qatar Environment and Energy Research Institute (QEERI) at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) confirms Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (KAHRAMAA) as a strategic partner for the International Conference in Sustainable Energy Water Environment Nexus in the Desert Region (IC-SEWEN’19). This biennial conference, which is set to take place from December 2 to 5 at the Qatar National Convention Centre, promotes a better understanding of links between energy, water and the environment, and identifies key priority areas for human development and environmental sustainability.
Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) will host its first Qatar International Cybersecurity Contest (QICC), in partnership with the competition’s Official Airline Sponsor Qatar Airways, at Minaretein Building, Education City from October 1 to 3, 2019. The event aims to increase awareness among participants of complex cybersecurity threats and valuable results to protect critical information and networks.
As part of its ongoing commitment to encourage lifelong learning and personal development among the wider community, Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) has opened registration for three community courses.
The courses, offered every year to advocate personal and professional enrichment, are conducted in collaboration with well established experts, each highly informed and experienced in their respective areas.
