With FIFA’s first ever World Cup to be hosted in the Middle East set to kick off in Qatar on November 20, HBKU Press is eager and ready to help fans of all ages gear up for the spectacular event with sports literature that aims to educate and inspire.
The organizing committee of the GCC Sports Tournament for Universities and Higher Education Institutes in its ninth edition, headed by Dr. Maryam Bint Hamad Al-Mannai, Vice President for Student Affairs at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU), announced the opening of registration for Qatari and GCC universities.
Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) has officially kicked off its admissions campaign and interested students in Qatar or abroad can apply to enroll in one of its world-class, research-intensive academic programs. Student admissions for the 2023-2024 academic year will be available across 36 innovative degrees, including one undergraduate program.
With the admissions cycle now open at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU), the College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHSS) held an Online Information Session for prospective students on October 19.
The session featured presentations by CHSS academic faculty on different aspects of graduate-level education and student life. It was also an opportunity to have their questions answered by HBKU’s Admissions team.
The College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHSS), through the Translation and Interpreting Institute (TII), has partnered with Qatar National Library on its latest children’s art exhibition, “Reesha - We Welcome the World to Qatar 2022TM”. The exhibition features 32 paintings of the country’s World Cup stadiums, created by school pupils under the guidance of the Qatari artist Maryam Al Mulla.
