Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) recently welcomed a delegation from the University of Nizwa, Oman, who toured its various colleges and research institutes before signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), outlining cooperation to promote research and training activities.
Dr. Ahmad M. Hasnah, President, HBKU and Professor Ahmed bin Khalfan Al-Rawahi, Chancellor, University of Nizwa, signed the MoU in the presence of senior representatives from both universities and Qatar Foundation (QF).
Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) is to host a series of information sessions for prospective students to learn more about the research-driven postgraduate programs offered by the academic institution’s five colleges.
The sessions, to be held from January 22 to February 6, will provide comprehensive details of HBKU’s graduate programs, with specific focus on curriculum, unique research opportunities and admission requirements.
Doha, December 8, 2018 – Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) is participating as an academic partner at Sidra Medicine’s fourth annual Functional Genomics 2018 Symposium, held under the theme of Big Data to Clinic at the Qatar National Convention Centre from December 8 - 10.
HBKU is represented through the participation of three of its science-focused entities, which are the College of Science and Engineering (CSE), College of Health and Life Sciences (CHLS) and Qatar Biomedical Research Institute (QBRI).

Mr. Tzeng is an international lawyer based in Washington D.C. at the law firm Foley Hoag, where he exclusively advises and represents countries on matters relating to public international law and international investment law. Hosted by Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU), a member of QF, at Education City, the event was also attended by Her Excellency Sheikha Hind bint Hamad Al Thani, Vice Chairperson and CEO of Qatar Foundation and Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of HBKU.
Hamad Bin Khalifa University’s (HBKU) colleges and research institutes are set to host an array of activities to engage the wider community in celebrations that mark Qatar National Day on December 18.
The activities, taking place from December 12 - 20 at the Qatar Foundation tent at Darb Al Saai, will aim to educate visitors about some of the University’s key focus areas, including science; energy and environment; computing and biomedical research; as well as the HBKU Press’ literary works.
