The Doha Module brought together participants from across the globe

The College of Islamic Studies at Hamad Bin Khalifa University recently hosted participants enrolled in the Executive Master’s in Development Policies and Practices (DPP)-MENA for the program’s Doha Module. The degree is offered in collaboration with the Geneva Graduate Institute, Switzerland, with support from the Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD).

The College of Public Policy (CPP) and the Qatar Foundation (QF) Policy Hub hosted a “Special Roundtable on Global Public Policy” on September 7. The guest speaker was Dr. Diane Stone, Chair in Global Policy at the School of Transnational Governance, European University Institute, Florence, Italy, and Eminent Visiting Policy Scholar at CPP.

Dr. Sultan Barakat, Professor at the College of Public Policy (CPP), directed a workshop as part of the 12th Gulf Research Meeting (GRM) held at the University of Cambridge from July 13-16, and organized by the Jeddah-based Gulf Research Center. Professor Enas S. Al-Eisa, President of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, delivered the keynote address.

In the context of climate change, population growth, and urbanization, the Sustainable Built Environment (SBE) group at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) is studying how Qatar’s infrastructure and water resources are impacted by climate change and anthropogenic (human-induced) factors, and presenting effective novel mitigation and adaptation strategies.
