The management of carbonate reserves worldwide will be in the spotlight during the fourth European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE) Well Injectivity/Productivity and Reservoir Management In Carbonates (WIPIC) Workshop. The event will be held in Doha on March 21-23 and follows on from the very successful workshop held in November 2019, also in Doha.

The 2021 edition of the reputed global university rankings, Shanghai Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU), has listed HBKU in the top 150 rankings for Computer Science and Engineering. HBKU was ranked first in Qatar and third in the MENA region. HBKU is ranked in the same bracket as top universities such as Northwestern University, Texas A&M University (College Station), RWTH Aachen University, and Yale University. The criteria used in this ranking include research output and impact as well as the quality of staff and international collaborations.
