Fourth EAGE WIPIC Workshop to Focus on Management of Carbonate Reserves Worldwide

The management of carbonate reserves worldwide will be in the spotlight during the fourth European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE) Well Injectivity/Productivity and Reservoir Management In Carbonates (WIPIC) Workshop. The event will be held in Doha on March 21-23 and follows on from the very successful workshop held in November 2019, also in Doha.

Doha, December 14, 2021 – A cyber security team at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU)’s Qatar Computing Research Institute (QCRI) has designed and patented a technology that not only detects current malicious phishing URLs, but can also predict those that will be malicious in the future.

E-Analytics Design Lab Prompts Solutions for Peace

Doha, December 13, 2021– The Qatar Computing Research Institute (QCRI), part of Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU), and the United Nations Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs (UN DPPA) jointly convened a design lab, titled E-Analytics, on innovative solutions for peace from December 6 to 8. The lab brought together an unlikely group of collaborators, including UN political analysts, computer scientists, journalists, designers, and others.
