Hamad Bin Khalifa University Press (HBKU Press) is taking this International Women’s Day as an opportunity to recognize and celebrate its many talented authors. International Women’s Day is a global celebration of women and their achievements regardless of nationality, cultural background, or economic status.
Hamad Bin Khalifa University’s (HBKU) Office of the Provost announces the launch of the Qatari Faculty Development Fellowship Program (QFDFP), an initiative designed to develop talented Qatari nationals and offer them the opportunity to join the university’s faculty.
The unique challenges posed by translating key legal texts from English to Arabic and vice versa was the subject of a recent seminar organized by Hamad Bin Khalifa University’s (HBKU) College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHSS) and College of Law (CL).

Her Excellency Sheikha Hind bint Hamad Al Thani, Vice Chairperson and CEO of Qatar Foundation (QF), and Chairperson of Hamad Bin Khalifa University’s (HBKU) Board of Trustees, inaugurated the first edition of the International Symposium on Comparative Education series with a keynote speech.
Her Excellency welcomed participants and outlined the mission of the new symposium series, which aims to hold comparative discussions on classical Muslim scholars’ perspectives on education and contrast them with modern-day approaches.

A recent study by Hamad Bin Khalifa University's (HBKU) Qatar Biomedical Research Institute has made strides in the exploration of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), emphasizing the development of Arabic stimuli. This study, which places a spotlight on social attention as a key developmental parameter, introduces an Arabic version of the Autism Risk Index (ARI). This tool holds promise for the early screening and diagnosis of ASD, not only for Qatar but also for broader applications across the Arabic-speaking world.
