In line with its mission to provide solutions in water, energy, and environment for arid regions, the College of Science and Engineering (CSE) and Qatar Environment and Energy Research Institute (QEERI) organized a seminar to consider cutting edge technologies for harnessing water from the atmosphere.

What inspired you to pursue postgraduate studies with HBKU?
Having two friends who are HBKU alumni was incredibly influential upon my decision to pursue postgraduate studies with the university. I was also impressed by the caliber and reputation of so many of HBKU’s academic staff, alongside the university’s commitment to academic excellence and building a collaborative and innovative community. This makes HBKU the perfect place for me to advance my knowledge and make a meaningful contribution to the academic community.

What inspired you to pursue postgraduate studies with HBKU?
After concluding my postgraduate studies in Human Genetics and Molecular Biology in my native country India I set out on a quest to become a budding researcher. I was particularly looking for an environment that not only deepened my understanding of the science behind human genetics but also fostered collaborative research initiatives. To this end, the CHLS’ commitment to advancing knowledge through collaboration and interdisciplinary approaches has been a guiding light for my academic goals.
Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) hosted its Graduate Studies Open House on February 14, 2024, inviting prospective graduate students to learn about the university’s range of multidisciplinary academic programs and apply for admission for the upcoming 2024/2025 academic year.
Hamad Bin Khalifa University’s (HBKU) College of Islamic Studies (CIS) is hosting Dr. Wael Hallaq, Avalon Foundation Professor in the Humanities, Columbia University, for a special three-part public lecture series titled “What is Sharia?”, which explores the fields of knowledge and practice in law, ethics, governance, and politics, and draws comparative and critical insights to deepen our understanding of the Sharia system.
