Contemporary reality of the preaching activity requires a leading Imam who has a sharp mind, pure heart and righteous moves to lead and guide people. Our prophet (PBUH) was really a great role model in all fields including preaching and leadership. He was an insightful Imam, educator and guide to the way of Allah, who acted wisely and provided good advice deriving guidance and insight from His Lord.

At a recent seminar, co-hosted by the College of Public Policy and College of Law, Jonathan Powell, Britain’s former chief negotiator in Northern Ireland and chief-of-staff under Prime Minister Tony Blair discussed points from his book, “Talking to Terrorists: How to End Armed Conflicts”.
Drawing on lessons learned from conflicts around the world, including Afghanistan and Iraq, Powell argued that there is no alternative to inclusive peace negotiations in any conflict. This applies as much to radical Islamist groups as it did to earlier armed groups.
Some have claimed that the end of the COVID-19 pandemic may be near, finally bringing some positive news more than two years after the virus first emerged.
Since the first positive case at the end of 2019, more than 460 million people worldwide have been infected, leading to over 6 million COVID-related deaths. Economies and businesses have taken a huge hit, while mental health has become a larger concern due to months of lockdowns and restrictions.
Raising the global visibility of its research and faculty expertise, the College of Law at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU), in collaboration with the University of Essex, School of Law, hosted an international conference to explore the challenges and opportunities in digitalizing trade finance processes.

Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) hosted the finals of the Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) competition, a dynamic showcase of the innovative research being done by its Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) students, on March 21.
This year, students from the College of Health and Life Sciences (CHLS) won first and second place, and a student from the College of Science and Engineering (CSE) won third place, for succinctly communicating the impact of their research and its outcomes in just three minutes.
Students and youth from numerous countries and a diverse ethnic background exchanged views on the future of counter-terrorism at a Global Youth Town Hall organized by the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism (UNOCT), through its International Hub on Behavioral Insights to Counter Terrorism, on March 29.
