Dr. Andreas Rechkemmer, senior professor at the College of Public Policy, and founder of the Program on Governance, Resilience and Sustainability (PROGRESS), discusses environmentally induced forced migration in an article co-authored for the Disaster Medicine and Public Health Preparedness journal.

Dr. Georgios Dimitropoulos received the Qatar Law Forum’s ‘Outstanding Law Professor of the Year’ Award in 2021 for his role in launching the Doctor of Juridical Science (SJD) - the most advanced degree at HBKU’s College of Law.

The College of Public Policy (CPP) jointly inaugurated the First Annual Joint Seminar with the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies’ School of Economics, Administration and Public Policy on May 10. The seminar was a platform for their respective faculty members to share their research on the economic, sociopolitical, and legal implications of public policy in Qatar, across the region, and globally, as well as build their networks, while also deepening public policy connections.

TII program builds commentary skills towards an accessible FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022^TM

Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU)’s Translation and Interpreting Institute (TII), in partnership with the Centre for Access to Football in Europe (CAFE), is presenting a second edition of its football commentary training. After the resounding success of the first edition, selected candidates have the chance to be trained to deliver the audio-descriptive commentary (ADC) service at the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022^TM.
