HBKU Press, part of Hamad Bin Khalifa University, has launched two new books to tie in with the Qatar National Day.

Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) Press has released two new books in honor of Qatar National Day 2019, titled Jassem and the Pearl of Aspiration (Jassem w Danat Al Ahlam), which is available in Arabic, and One Week in Qatar, which is available in both Arabic and English. 


HBKU Board Member Professor Ikhlaq Sidhu, Chief Scientist and Founding Director of the University of California Berkeley’s Sutardja Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology.

The concept and potential benefits of innovation engineering formed the basis of a recent lecture held by the College of Science and Engineering (CSE) at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU).

HBKU’s Qatar Computing Research Institute Signs Memorandum of  Understanding with United Nations Development Programme

Qatar Computing Research Institute (QCRI) at Hamad Bin Khalifa 
University (HBKU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). Signed during Doha Forum 2019, the agreement provides a framework for cooperation and collaboration in areas of common interest.

Between November 23 and 26, faculty from Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) attended PhD Workshop China 2019 in Beijing. The annual event provides foreign universities and research institutes with opportunities to present their programs onsite and connect with top Chinese  graduates and PhD candidates who are looking to study abroad. The College of Islamic Studies, the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, and the College of Science and Engineering represented HBKU at PhD Workshop China 2019.
