Hamad Bin Khalifa University Press (HBKU Press) has recently published a literature review article detailing the impact of job satisfaction on nurses' work lives on its online academic publishing platform QScience.com. Though the article, written by authors Aisha Hamad Al-Qahtani, Bridget Stirling, and Daniel Forgrave, was prepared before COVID-19 swept across the globe, the insights it provides are key when considering the current welfare of nurses on the frontline of this pandemic.

What are your responsibilities at HBKU and what do they currently look like?
Qatar has witnessed a substantial improvement in air quality over the past few weeks, say scientists at the Qatar Environment and Energy Research Institute (QEERI), part of Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU). According to the team at QEERI’s Environment & Sustainability Center (ESC), this change is, in large part, a result of social distancing policies the State of Qatar has put in place to tackle the COVID-19 pandemic.
