Qatar Environment and Energy Research Institute (QEERI) at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) is setting up a state-of-the-art corrosion testing facility that simulates oil and gas field conditions. The facility, under the Institute’s Corrosion Center, will enable the testing of different types of material under diverse operating conditions, including flow conditions, operating temperatures, and pressures, plant start up, and sudden shutdown.

In support of World Alzheimer’s Month, Qatar Biomedical Research Institute (QBRI) at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) has joined forces with Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) to organize a webinar that focusses on dementia research and risk reduction measures. The event featured a distinguished panel of experts with vast experience in Qatar and foreign legal systems.

Almas has always been interested in the role of law in society. As a law student at HBKU, she became passionate about human rights and urban planning policies, digital privacy and the regulation of big data, and international commercial courts. These areas of interest became more important to her after attending a public lecture at HBKU on behavioral law, which featured Cass Sunstein, a Professor at Harvard Law School and the former Administrator of the White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs.
