How is home isolation shaping our behavior?

The global outbreak of the coronavirus has prompted professionals and students around the world to embrace remote work and digital learning, while most aspects of our daily lives have been disrupted. Families are isolating in their homes and working parents are shouldering much of the responsibility for their children’s education. Young or old, people around the globe have taken a pause to consider these pressing circumstances and how to navigate life’s current challenges. “What new responsibilities has COVID-19 brought?” is one of the questions many of us are having to ask these days.

Shari’a Law and Dispute Resolution in the Post-COVID-19 Legal Order

Modern societies have for many years evolved efficient methods for resolving legal disputes in a peaceful manner. Litigation in courts, as well as out-of-court alternative dispute resolution (ADR) methods - such as negotiation, mediation, conciliation and arbitration - are popular avenues through which a wide range of commercial and non-commercial disputes are resolved in Qatar and beyond.

The Multifaceted Road to Recovery for COVID-19 Patients

At the time of writing, more than one million people across the world have recovered from COVID-19. Other statistics suggest that approximately 85% of patients with mild symptoms recover within two weeks and without the need for hospitalization. Rights in the Time of COVID-19

The rules that govern members of a society are in a state of flux due to COVID-19. Just four short months ago, we probably could not have imagined a society defined by closed stores, social distancing, and mask-wearing.
