1. What are the most prominent research efforts that are currently conducted by QBRI?

QBRI’s primary efforts aim to improve and transform healthcare through conducting translational research related to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases affecting Qatar and the region, through its three main centers specialized in non-communicable diseases; namely the Diabetes Research Center, the Cancer Research Center, and the Neurological Disorders Research Center, especially those affecting children and the elderly.

In line with its mission to frame debates on Islam in a global context, the College of Islamic Studies (CIS) at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) recently hosted a roundtable discussion on the theme of religious tolerance.

Efforts to educate children to follow the “good child” model provided the foundations for a recent seminar organized by the College of Islamic Studies (CIS) at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU).

In keeping with its vision to enrich society through transformative educational experiences, the College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHSS) at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) commemorated the World Day for Social Justice with a public talk.

The College of Islamic Studies (CIS) at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) recently concluded outreach activities to attract new students to its degree programs. In keeping with the wider HBKU network, the CIS sessions provided key information and study options for prospective students from Qatar, the Middle East and further afield. Prospective students were introduced to CIS’ six pioneering master’s and PhD programs, and the opportunities they bring to students enrolled in them.
