“It is an honor to collaborate with one of the world’s foremost institutions on defense and security issues and contribute to a global knowledge exchange focusing on pressing topics in the field of international affairs. I am thankful for the support of HBKU and CPP, who are both committed to transcending borders in order to facilitate expertise and build capacity in Qatar and beyond,” said Dr. Barakat.

Dr. Barakat received the honor for his work in pioneering the study of post-war reconstruction and state-building.
