As part of its Joint Training and Research Collaboration Program with Harvard Stem Cell Institute (HSCI), Qatar Biomedical Research Institute (QBRI) at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) recently organized a symposium on the use of cell therapies to treat diabetes.

Hamad Bin Khalifa University’s (HBKU) Qatar Environment and Energy Research Institute (QEERI) has become the first research organization in the Middle East to work on nano-rectenna devices. Developed by scientists at QEERI’s Disruptive Technologies Program, these devices can be  a potential game changer in the fields of sensors, detectors, solar energy conversion and nanoelectronics.

Dr. Anis Brik, Associate Professor at the College of Public Policy (CPP) at Hamad Bin Khalifa University, will participate in the Emerging Dimensions of Marriage in Asia Conference, organized by the National University of Singapore.

The conference takes place on November 19-20, and Dr. Brik will give a talk on Marriage Markets in West Asia: Trends, Determinants, and Public Policies.
