One PhD student and one faculty member at the College of Science and Engineering (CSE) at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) have been recognized with Oman’s National Research Award 2020 in the Young Researcher’s category. Dr. Yusuf Bicer, assistant professor of Sustainable Development, and Mohammed Al-Breiki, PhD student and researcher in sustainable energy program, were named winners in the category of best published research led by a young researcher (non-PhD holder) in the Energy and Industry Field.

The Program for Social Policy Evaluation and Research (PROSPER) at the College of Public Policy (CPP) at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) is presenting a new Master Class on Program Evaluation, which is being offered on January 27 and 28 as part of the Design Post-COVID Humanity: Taaruf, Taawun, Tarahum (DPCH-3T) initiative. This master class will be delivered by Dr. Anis Ben Brik, associate professor at CPP, founding director of PROSPER and partner in the DPCH-3T initiative.

On January 24, 2021, Hamad Bin Khalifa University Press (HBKU Press) launched the first in a series of public online webinars, titled, A Picture Worth a Thousand Words, hosted by HBKU Press senior editor and best-selling children’s book author, Jameela Sultan Al Mass Al Jassem, along with a set of distinguished panelists including award-winning Arab children’s book authors and illustrators.
The College of Law at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) recently marked the launch of a newly published book Local Content and Sustainable Development in Global Energy Markets, which was edited by Dr. Damilola S. Olawuyi, associate professor at HBKU’s College of Law.
