Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) launched a special student orientation program celebrating its largest cohort so far, welcoming new and returning students to campus, and heralding the beginning of the 2024-2025 academic year.

Ooredoo, Qatar’s leading telecommunications operator and ICT provider, is pleased to announce that it is providing an estimated QR 2,800,000 to Hamad Bin Khalifa University’s (HBKU) Qatar Centre for Quantum Computing (QC2) to support its groundbreaking project to build the country's first quantum communication testbed. 

The College of Public Policy (CPP) at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) have finalized a two-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

Dr. Recep Şentürk,  Dean of Hamad Bin Khalifa University’s (HBKU) College of Islamic Studies (CIS), was recently welcomed in an audience with Pope Francis, the head of the Catholic Church, Bishop of Rome, and sovereign of the Vatican City State.

At a recent ceremony, the Qatar International Court and Dispute Resolution Center (QICDRC) bestowed awards for exceptional performance on four students from the College of Law at Hamad Bin Khalifa University’s (HBKU) Juris Doctor (JD) program. The awards were launched in 2024 under a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between QICDRC and HBKU, which builds on the parties’ initial MoU signed in 2019.  

Hamad Bin Khalifa University’s (HBKU) mission to shape novel solutions for global impact has been strengthened by a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the College of Science and Engineering (CSE) and NASA.

On Wednesday 29 May, Dr. Sultan Barakat, Professor of Conflict and Humanitarian Studies at Hamad Bin Khalifa University’s (HBKU) College of Public Policy (CPP), was hosted by the Committee on Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation of the Dutch House of Representatives to address the question of how the Netherlands can keep playing an effective role in Afghanistan in order to support the Afghan people and secure its foreign policy objectives. 
 

Hamad Bin Khalifa University Press (HBKU Press) will be commemorating the upcoming Eid al-Adha holidays with a selection of educational publications centered around Islamic themes, including books for children and graphic novels for Young Adult (YA) readers.

Organized by the College of Public Policy (CPP) at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) and hosted by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Afghanistan Future Thought Forum (AFTF) convened for its 9th session under the chairmanship of Mrs. Fatima Gailani in Oslo, Norway on 13-15 May 2024.

The Qatar Environment and Energy Research Institute (QEERI) at Hamad Bin Khalifa University, in collaboration with the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH), recently hosted a workshop titled Wastewater-based Surveillance: One-Health Approach and National Impact.
