Positioning disability and health at the center of inclusive policy and sustainable development, Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) and the Ministry of Social Development and Family (MSDF), in collaboration with the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) and World Health Organization (WHO), convened a capacity-building workshop titled Foundations of the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF).

Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU), a member of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science, and Community Development, is set to host the 2nd GCC Women’s Sports Tournament for Universities and Higher Education Institutions from February 6 to 11, 2026.
Sponsored by the Ministry of Sports and Youth and hosted for the first time in the State of Qatar, the tournament seeks to strengthen cooperation among Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, while also contributing to the regional development of women’s university sports.

Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) has unveiled the Human-Inspired Knowledge by Machine Agents (HIKMA) Project, an initiative that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to generate, review, revise and present scientific papers under ethical human supervision. The project aims to redefine how knowledge is created and shared, positioning Qatar as a pioneer in AI-assisted scholarship.
HIKMA integrates every stage of academic research, from topic generation and automated writing to AI-based review and revision in a single continuous pipeline.
The Qur’anic Botanic Garden (QBG), a member of Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU), has collaborated with Qatar Foundation’s (QF) Herfah Program to develop the first Dye Plants Garden at the historic Al Khater house in Education City. This initiative bridges traditional expertise and modern scientific knowledge, reflecting joint efforts to preserve traditional practices and revive plants that have been historically used for producing natural dyes.
