This workshop will bring together both international and local experts to explore the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) and data storytelling in building adaptive learning environments. These environments aim to enhance student engagement and promote inclusive education, all while emphasizing the importance of strong ethical policies to address bias and inequity. The workshop will serve as a platform to move beyond theoretical discussions and co-create actionable strategies for the responsible integration of these technologies in Qatar and the surrounding region.

Organized by HBKU's College of Public Policy (CPP), this interactive three-day program will enable participants to collaboratively develop actionable recommendations for the benefit of education in Qatar and the region. The program aims to produce tangible outcomes, including a data-informed policy brief and an implementation roadmap specifically for the education sector.

The objectives of the workshop include:

  • Exploring the intersection of Generative AI and progressive education by examining global trends.
  • Demonstrating the value of data storytelling as a strategic tool for communication and decision support.
  • Focusing on human-centered design for practical classroom, curriculum, and assessment integration.
  • Addressing critical ethical, governance, and equity concerns associated with AI-enabled personalization.

The event will be held in English.
