Moving from dispatchable generation to more variable generation connected via inverter-based technologies exposes utility companies to key challenges. As set by many countries to meet sustainability goals, new power grid requirements are needed to facilitate renewable integration at a high penetration level.
The Summer Research Program (SRP) at Qatar Environment & Energy Research Institute (QEERI) offers students the opportunity to excel in conducting research at QEERI during the summer and access state-of-the-art research facilities under the mentorship of QEERI's distinguished scientists, postdoctoral fellows, and engineers.
HBKU's Core Labs Summer Program offers undergraduate students in Qatar the chance to gain practical training and research experience. The program offers access to three state-of-the-art facilities; Proteomics, Genomics, and Materials Characterization Labs, where learners can explore and improve their skills in these critical scientific areas. The training includes lectures, hands-on training, and varied experiences tailored to each lab's specialization.
The Summer Internship Program at Qatar Computing Research Institute (QCRI) offers intensive research and software development training to undergraduate students across a spectrum of fields, including but not limited to, Arabic Language Technologies, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, Social Computing, and Software Engineering.
Program Duration
The program runs for 8 weeks from May 12 - July 25, 2024, with an alternate schedule available to accommodate Qatar University students.
