Researchers from Hamad Bin Khalifa University’s (HBKU) College of Health and Life Sciences (CHLS), Sidra Medicine, and the Brandenburg Medical School conducted a study utilizing the genomic data and serum samples of 800 Qatar-based participants to identify variation in certain immune genes that can affect the production of antibodies that cause allergic reactions to otherwise harmless substances.

The College of Public Policy (CPP) and College of Islamic Studies (CIS) recently had the opportunity to showcase the first-year findings and progress of their collaborative research project “SDG Education and Global Citizenship in Qatar” at the International Workshop on Public Policy (IWPP). Organized by the International Public Policy Association (IPPA), the IWPP’s third edition was held from June 28-30 in Budapest, Hungary.

The College of Public Policy (CPP) recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Institute of Policy and Development Studies at Ethiopia’s Hawassa University to establish their collaboration in research, exchange, and supervision.
Dr. Logan Cochrane, Associate Professor at CPP, visited Hawassa University in July. During the visit, he finalized the MoU and outlined a set of activities for collaboration for the coming academic year 2022-2023.
