HBKU highlights innovative degree programs at University Expo Qatar 2022

HBKU members showcased the benefits of a career-advancing research-focused education during University Expo 2022.

Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) is showcasing its research-intensive, interdisciplinary degree programs and exceptional academic environment in the Qatar Foundation (QF) pavilion at University Expo Qatar 2022.

A team from HBKU is meeting with prospective students exploring their higher education options, as well as parents, schoolteachers, and counselors from across the Middle East. HBKU’s presence at University Expo 2022, and its presentations and workshop sessions, are highlighting the opportunities available to students seeking a competitive graduate-level education in Qatar. They can obtain information and advice about the admissions processes, standardized testing procedures, and scholarships.

Students visiting HBKU’s booth in the shared QF pavilion are able to network and explore the benefits of a career-advancing research-focused education that opens up unique opportunities to be part of the Education City ecosystem.

Dr. Michael J. Benedik, HBKU Provost, said: “I welcome any student who is considering graduate education to look at the unique, world-class programs offered by HBKU. Our multidisciplinary research-focused degrees provide exceptional opportunities for graduate students to make new discoveries and understand how research answers questions and addresses challenges. Our graduates leave HBKU with an entrepreneurial and innovative mindset that seeks creative solutions to the challenges of today, both locally and globally. But most importantly our graduates are ready to become leaders in their field.”

HBKU’s innovative programs span specializations in law, public policy, the health and life sciences, contemporary Islamic studies, science and engineering (including HBKU’s only bachelor’s program), and humanities and social sciences. Several degree programs are unique to the region.

HBKU will begin accepting applications for the 36 world-class degree programs offered across its six colleges in October 2022. For more information about HBKU’s programs, please visit hbku.edu.qa.
