CPP Professor Named Editor of Routledge’s New Transdisciplinary Book Series

Dr. Daryl S.L. Jarvis, a professor at the College of Public Policy, is the editor of a prestigious new book series: Routledge Studies in Policy and Power. The series features state-of-the-art analyses of the relationship between policy, politics, and power and critically-oriented submissions focus on the latest developments in policy making, implementation, and outcomes from around the world.

The Policy and Power series crosses disciplinary boundaries, and recognizes that policy formation is fundamentally a product of the intersection between different social forces, interests, ideas and ideologies, all of which impact policy implementation. This, in turn, yields policy outcomes and patterns of behavioral change that often deviate from both intentions and theoretical assumptions. The series concerns itself with the rise of market-oriented policy agendas over the last four decades and the challenge presented by different forms of contemporary populism and new state-led agendas.

Policy and Power is encouraging submissions of politically-oriented studies of policy at all scales (local, national, regional and multilateral) from the fields of politics, public policy, public administration, international political economy and sociology.
