Dr. Logan Cochrane, associate professor at Hamad Bin Khalifa University’s College of Public Policy (CPP), is the co-editor of a new book, “The Transnational Land Rush in Africa: A Decade After the Spike”, with Nathan Andrews, assistant professor in the Department of Global and International Studies, University of Northern British Columbia, Canada.
Part of the International Political Economy Series, this volume provides up-to-date information on the African ‘land rush’ over a decade ago, through national case studies of countries that were heavily impacted. The in-depth research that establishes the book’s context will offer students, researchers, advocates, and policymakers a critical resource, particularly its detailed, long-term assessments of a broad range of national contexts. Tackling the specific questions of land and investment, the new book sheds light on the intricate political economy of land governance in Africa.
“The Transnational Land Rush in Africa: A Decade After the Spike” is set to be published on March 17 by Palgrave Macmillan. Follow this link for more information on the book.
