Press Releases HBKU College of Science and Engineering Professor Wins Prestigious Computing Award

Dr. Roberto Di Pietro, a professor at Hamad Bin Khalifa University’s (HBKU) College of Science and Engineering (CSE), has received the Jean-Claude Laprie Award. Introduced in 2012, the award recognizes outstanding papers that have significantly influenced the theory and/or practice of dependable computing. The award honors Jean-Claude Laprie (1944-2010) who devoted his entire career to research on the dependability of computing systems. Dr. Di Pietro joined CSE in 2017 as a professor of cybersecurity, leading the college’s efforts to establish a world-class cybersecurity laboratory addressing both fundamental and applied challenges in the field, to have an impact and to drive innovation.
