CSE Professor Wins Oman’s Research and Innovations Award for Paper on AI Approach to Managing Coastal Aquifers

Dr. Chefi Triki, Associate Professor in Engineering Management and Decision Sciences at the College of Science and Engineering (CSE), recently won the Research and Innovations Award in Water Science in the Scientific Publication Category (PhD holders) for his paper “An Artificial Intelligence Approach for the Stochastic Management of Coastal Aquifers.” Dr. Triki was among 10 overall winning projects in the fourth edition of the award, out of 95 local and regional competitors in various categories. 

The Research and Innovations Award is an initiative of the Research Council of Oman, in collaboration with Sultan Qaboos Higher Centre for Culture and Science, aiming to enhance the role of scientific research, encourage, and support distinguished innovative initiatives to find solutions to water issues and enhance awareness of the water field.

The award was made official to the recipients in March 2021.
