CPP Contributing to Executive Master Program Led by CIS

The College of Public (CPP) continues to contribute and collaborate with the Executive Master in Development Policies and Practices (DPP) program being led by the College of Islamic Studies (CIS) at HBKU, representing the Middle East and North African region of the program. The DPP is a partnership with the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (IHEID) Geneva with the support of Qatar Fund for Development. The program has other hubs in Accra, Bangkok, Bishkek, Doha, Lima, and Ouagadougou.

In the latest collaboration, Dr. Logan Cochrane, associate professor at CPP, delivered a guest lecture presentation to DPP participants. Attendees at the session were from Qatar, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Libya, Palestine, Jordan, Tunisia, Somalia, and Liberia.

Dr. M. Evren Tok, DPP program’s MENA hub coordinator and Assistant Dean of Innovation and Community Engagement at CIS, said: “We are delighted to have the support of the College of Public Policy for the DPP program at HBKU. Their cooperation and collaboration in the form of insightful contributions enhances our ability to equip professionals and hone our multidisciplinary coursework to help their understanding of development issues, policy practices, and strategic analysis, and builds important capacities within the region.”

CIS is the home of the DPP program for the Middle East and North African (MENA) region, supported by Qatar Fund for Development. The program is designed for working professionals from across the MENA region, and scholarships are available for a number of countries. It provides strategic analysis tools and enhances the leadership capacity of participants who apply newfound skills through a professional thesis at work.
