Feriel Dalansi won the prize for her project utilizing virtual reality to help assess concussion

Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU), College of Health and Life Sciences (CHLS) alumna Feriel Dalansi won the “Best Poster” prize for her work on the assessment of concussion at the 7th Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Medical Conference.

Dalansi, who graduated from CHLS with a Master of Science in Exercise Science, claimed the award for her project, titled “Reliability of Virtual Reality Tool for the Assessment of Concussions.” Her project competed against 23 other entities submitted by fellow researchers in sports medicine hailing from 10 countries from around the world.

Held under the theme, “Football and Sports Medicine - Celebrating Diversity,” the conference convened top specialists and physicians from relevant disciplines to discuss the latest challenges and cutting-edge developments in sports medicine.
