Ukraine v. Russia. Philippines v. China. Iran v. USA.

In high-stake disputes, States sometimes sue each other before the International Court of Justice and other international courts and tribunals. When they do, they need lawyers.

Who are these lawyers? What are the challenges they face representing States? How does politics affect the legal settlement of public international law disputes?

This event will address these questions, among many others, concerning the representation of States in public international law disputes.
