This lecture aims to highlight the Arab civilization in Andalusia, some innovations of its people in the literary field in particular, and the reality of the two-way influence associated with it.
The Andalusian era is one of the greatest eras of Arab and Islamic civilization. It witnessed a renaissance in sciences, a cultural expansion, and artistic and literary creativity that continued to the eighth century AH. It is true that this civilization was born in a pure Andalusian environment, subjected to it and affected by it, yet not limited to the East. It, rather, developed highly to spread its influence outside its borders as a great creative nation, and became a beacon of thought and civilization worldwide. Its impact can even be traced to contemporary western civilization.
