The College of Public Policy’s Hadaba initiative introduces the Hadaba 25: Public Narrative & Data Storytelling forum, designed to advance innovation in policy design through narrative strategy and data storytelling.
Storytelling and data are two essential tools in public policy. While data is transparent, accountable, and empirical, storytelling provides the emotional resonance needed to engage people, build narratives, and communicate complex concepts.
Rooted in global frameworks and benchmarks, Hadaba 25 will merge storytelling with data to form a powerful combination that shapes and influences policy. It aims to enable participants to frame, analyze, and communicate complexity, ultimately shaping public policy and debates by fusing data, narrative, and storytelling.
The program brings together graduate students, civil servants, and professionals to develop practical, data-driven narratives that inform public policy. Participants will be equipped with skills in data visualization, policy communication, and collaborative storytelling.
Featuring local, regional, and international professionals, participants will also gain exposure to best practices, hands-on experience, and opportunities to work directly on real-world policy issues.
Participants will gain:
- A certificate in Policy Narrative & Data Storytelling.
- Core tools for framing public challenges through stories.
- Experience in linking values, evidence, and audience in policy messaging.
- The skills to shape stories that influence public decisions and create impact.
