Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) was selected this year to establish a UNESCO Chair on Environmental Law and Sustainable Development. The UNESCO Chair program aims to foster strategic collaboration between UNESCO and institutions of higher learning across the world with proven competence in one or more areas of UNESCO’s spheres of activities.
The high-level event will formally launch the new Chair and feature the inaugural lecture by the Chairholder and HBKU College of Law Professor Dr. Damilola S. Olawuyi. In addition to keynote speeches by leading figures in Qatar and beyond, the event will also include a panel discussion by foremost experts on environmental law and sustainability.
