On December 6, 2023, Refaat Alareer, a Palestinian writer, academic, and activist, was killed in an Israeli airstrike in northern Gaza. Following this tragic event, his poem If I Must Die has been widely shared and translated. The poem, which encourages the reader to tell the story of the martyred, reflects Alareer’s influential voice during his life and after his death.

This lecture introduces the main constitutional features of Islamic governance, taken from the viewpoint of structural history. It intends to map out the functioning of legislative, judicial, and executive powers, and discuss their relationships to each other. This workshop is designed for high school students with an interest in computer engineering. Participants will have a chance to work in a group setting, learn how computer engineering affects their lives, and work on practical engineering projects and application developments.
