Integrated Onsite Industrial Water Treatment – GTL Case Study
Dr. Udeogu Onwusogh, water portfolio leader at Qatar Shell Research & Technology Center, will give an overview of the Pearl GTL effluent treatment plant (ETP) that treats water from the Fischer-Tropsch and other processes. The plant’s capacity exceeds 45,000 m3/d and maintains zero liquid discharge, providing water for cooling and boiler feed and making the GTL process reliant on the ETP.

Knowing that Islam plays a very significant role in politics in the Middle East and across the world, this seminar will focus on illustrating the stance of the Islamic Shari’ah on the transitional justice in the post-conflict societies. In this regard, it places greater emphasis on the historical precedents of the different jurisprudential trends in the Islamic Shari’ah towards the post-conflict situation in attempt to establish an Islamic legal basis for transitional justice.
Religious moderation and balanced personality are among the most important demands sought by all societies. However, meeting such a demand has become a major problem and resulted in the absence of civilized witnesses of the nation of Islam, which depends mainly on the moderation. Almighty Allah said: “And thus have We willed you to be a community of the middle way, so that with your lives you might bear witness to the truth before all mankind,” (Baqarah:143).
