Hamad, who is color blind, draws and paints cartoons to create awareness about people who live with the condition. 

The exhibition will feature Hamad’s paintings of famous cartoon characters, including Pink Panther, Tom and Jerry, and Lady Oscar. 

Additionally, Hamad will exhibit one of his works in which half was painted with his normal vision, and the other half using special glasses.

A workshop to develop translation skills in a wide range of disciplines, including general, legal and business translation.

The workshop caters to participants’ various skill levels. Through in-house activities they will gain firsthand experience of translation. The focus will be on translation techniques, search tools, self-revision/proofreading.

Known as Arzachel to the western world, Ibrahim al-Zarqali was a leading Muslim astronomer who left an indelible mark on the global stage. One of the craters on the Moon carries his name. He built a water clock, perfected the astrolabe, and corrected Ptolemy and al-Khwarizmi's geographical data. Copernicus also made mention of al-Zarqali while explaining his heliocentric theory. He was also regarded as one of the leading numerologists of his time.

This workshop presents the fundamentals of interpreting modes and techniques. Participants will be exposed to information processing, note-taking, and simultaneous interpreting.

Various texts and a variety of accents will be used in a state-of-the-art lab, in addition to conducting live exercises in the interpreting booth.
