The European Union Global Strategy is based on the concept of a rules-based international order focusing on security in the 21st century.
The seminar, held in collaboration with the College of Humanities and Social Sciences and the Austrian Embassy in Doha, aims to present the European perspective of the order and compare notes on actual developments in the MENA region.

This targeted practical workshop introduces participants to the techniques of intralingual and interlingual subtitling.
Attendees will be exposed to specific formal and discursive features of subtitles, including temporal and spatial constraints, timing, condensation, verbal and non-verbal cues, appropriate punctuation, positioning and segmentation.

The religious and intellectual landscape of nineteenth- and twentieth-century Indian subcontinent has given birth to possibly some of the most extraordinary minds of her history. One such figure, among the Muslims of the subcontinent was the brilliant historian Sayyid Manāzir Ahsan Gīlānī (d 1956). His ideas about religions in particular merit attention and through this project, we would make an endeavor to translate selected works of Gīlānī into English and introduce his thought.

Another edition of the World Innovation Summit for Health (WISH) comes to Qatar, hosting the best of healthcare experts from around the world. Islam has a 1,000-year history in Russia, and yet little is known about it. Muslims constitute 8-12 percent of the Russian population, but remain largely in obscurity. Much in the same vein, works on Islam and Islamic Studies in Russian languages do not make the headlines.
The seminar, taking place on the sidelines of the Doha International Book Fair 2018, will endeavor to highlight Russian scholarship on Islam, both by Muslims and non-Muslims.
Under different models, they have strived to serve this very role and promote financial inclusion and social development. However, the critical question on the efficiency of their management system remains undermined.
