Professor Kamiel Gabriel
Professor Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science Ontario Tech University, CanadaDr. Gabriel holds a Bachelor of Science (honors degree), and a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alexandria, Egypt, and a Ph.D. degree from the University of Manitoba, Canada.
Dr. Gabriel is the founding Associate Provost of Research and Graduate Programs at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT). Under his leadership, UOIT has seen a tremendous growth in its research portfolio boasting more than 30 fold increases in its research funding in less than five years and is now listed in the top 50 research-intensive universities in Canada.
Since 2005, his research efforts focused on the development of low-carbon technologies including energy conservation in buildings and green hydrogen production to power the next generation of transportation vehicles, domestic applications in heating and cooling and marine and aviation transport systems.
