Accolade reflects remarkable first year for new university initiative
Hamad Bin Khalifa University’s (HBKU) Student Enrichment Program has been recognized for its commitment to empowering students with valuable skills, experiences, and opportunities to thrive beyond the classroom.
Recognition comes in the form of the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators’ (NASPA) Silver Award for Excellence in Student Success. The Student Enrichment Program received its award as part of NASPA’s 2025 Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia (MENASA) Recognition. Reflecting on HBKU’s success, Dr. Ala Al-Fuqaha, Acting Provost and Associate Provost for Teaching and Learning, said: “This award reflects a remarkable first year of growth, expansion, and achievement for our Student Enrichment Program. We will build on this by not only maintaining our high standards of service, but also finding new and innovative ways for students to thrive in their personal and professional lives. After all, the most rewarding part of our work is being part of our students’ success stories.”
