HBKU’s College of Health and Life Sciences Hosts Seminar on Influenza Vaccines

Hamad Bin Khalifa University’s (HBKU) College of Health and Life Sciences (CHLS) recently welcomed guest speaker Dr. Hadi M. Yassine, assistant professor of infectious diseases at Qatar University, who delivered a seminar on the topic of Universal Influenza Vaccines. During the seminar, Dr. Yassine discussed the structural and genetic basis for the development of broadly neutralizing influenza antibodies, and his work been published in international newspapers such as The Guardian and The Washington Post. CHLS plays host to regular lectures and seminars, inviting experts from local and international academic institutions to engage with its students and the wider community in discussions on various health topics.
