Hamad Bin Khalifa University Press (HBKU Press) is proud to participate in this year’s Abu Dhabi International Book Fair (ADIBF), where they will be featuring a wide selection of Arabic and English language titles from exceptional writers in the region and beyond. Taking place between the 27th of April and the 3rd of May at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center, the Book Fair brings together leading publishers, booksellers and readers from around the world.

As Qatar’s first and only university publishing house, HBKU Press delivers a diverse and robust collection of academic, fiction, non-fiction and children’s titles and supports emerging voices from the Middle East. Located in Hall 12, C37, the HBKU Press booth at ADIBF will offer over 140 titles for ADIBF attendees.

The booth will include many familiar titles from HBKU Press’ bestselling list in Arabic, such as Khaled Hosseini’s The Kite Runner or The Corsair by Qatari author Abdulaziz Al-Mahmoud. Best-selling titles in English will, among others, feature Sheikha Hend Al-Qassemi’s The Black Book of Arabia; the 2013 International Prize for Arabic Fiction winner, The Bamboo Stalk; and Suad Amiry’s Golda Slept Here. For children, HBKU Press will be showcasing a wide selection of educational and trade titles in Arabic, from the award-winning Mah and Me and the 2016 World Book Day book by Qatari author, Muneera Saad Al-Romaihi, Khayal Manal, to the educational Mental Maths series.

At the Book Fair, HBKU Press aims to bring the best writing to the widest possible audience, publishing quality books in a wide array of genres. At the booth, readers will find autobiographies, such as The Global Majlis or historical fiction titles, such as Bitter Almonds; thrillers, such as Telepathy or romances, such as Days of Ignorance; science fiction novels such as Utopia or short story collections, such as The Hidden Light of Objects. There will be something for all readers to enjoy at ADIBF.
