An opportunity to enhance CPP’s global profile and attract new audiences

Entity: College of Public Policy
Participants in the executive education programs

Hamad Bin Khalifa University’s (HBKU) College of Public Policy (CPP) has joined a global network of partner organizations supporting the delivery of two executive education programs developed by the Geneva Graduate Institute’s (GGI) Executive Education (ExecEd).

Combining online learning with class-based teaching across several continents, including a module in Qatar, the Conflict and Fragility Management and Development Policies and Practices programs are designed for professionals who hold or aspire to leadership positions in governments and the broader civil society space. The courses are also open to private sector professionals seeking to gain knowledge and experience in both fields. Both programs offer scholarships courtesy of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, the Canton of Geneva, Qatar Fund for Development, and Qatar Scholarships.

Reflecting on the CPP’s partnership with the Geneva Graduate Institute, Leslie A. Pal, Founding Dean, said: “Despite being HBKU’s newest college, we have, in a relatively short space of time, forged highly productive relationships with some of the most influential organizations in the field of public policy education. Doing so has undoubtedly contributed to the CPP’s mission to support effective policy development towards implementation of Qatar National Vision 2030, as well as public policy challenges around the world. We’re therefore confident that working with the Geneva Graduate Institute to deliver these programs will only enhance the CPP’s global profile and attract new audiences to our research and analysis.”

HBKU’s College of Public Policy provides a unique and exciting learning environment, supported by cutting edge research on policy challenges facing Qatar, the wider region, and the world.

Applications for both programs are open until 15 March 2024
