HBKU’s College of Humanities and Social Sciences Holds Graduate Studies Information Session Online

Prospective students from Qatar and other countries had the opportunity to attend the Virtual Graduate Studies Information Session hosted by the College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHSS) at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) on February 2. During an engaging and informative session, participants learned about the specialized masters and doctoral programs offered by CHSS, which span a range of applications and methodologies used within the interdisciplinary fields of translation and interpreting studies and Middle Eastern studies. Dr. Amal Al-Malki, founding dean of CHSS, and faculty members joined the session to answer program-specific questions on the curriculum, research opportunities, and the overall student experience they could expect within HBKU’s integrated learning environment. There was also a chance to hear from the admissions team about the application requirements and process. Each of HBKU’s six interdisciplinary colleges will be holding an Information Session during February, with the event going virtual this year due to ongoing COVID-19 restrictions. The sessions are open to anyone interested in exploring their options to find the right graduate course.

The deadline for Qatari nationals and residents who wish to apply to HBKU’s wide-ranging programs is March 15, 2021.
